A Superfluity of Strawberries!

With some wonderful spring-like weather this past week, my thoughts have been turning towards cottons and warm-weather clothes!

While I was browsing Penny Rose Fabric to look for inspiration for a new project, I was struck by the number of different strawberry prints they offer and I got totally inspired to wander down the rabbit trail to look for vintage strawberry-themed clothing!

Here's a mini Vintage Strawberry Fashion Guide and a glimpse of what I found! :-)  Enjoy the inspiration!

    1. I just realized that the pattern doesn't actually include the strawberry design.... sadness. :-( Oh well, off that idea goes into the long-term storage! I'm sure it will see the light of day at some point... ;-)

  6. I never realized that strawberries were used so much. I usually think of cherries as being the fruit of choice for dressmaking.

  9. Strawberries! I love them. ^-^ Those fabrics are to die for. They really remind me of some Cath Kidston prints.

  10. That pale turquoise dress! Years ago I owned the exact same one, except it was a dressing gown. The styling is identical. I wonder if this one was cut into a dress length at some point or if they made 2 different styles.

  11. Adore more than all the number of all the strawberries in the world. I've always been a huge fan of anything depicting (or shaped like) this timeless, sweet little fruit and am swooning up an epic storm right now over each of these beauties. Thank you for putting this berry enjoyable post together for us! :)

    Many hugs,
    ♥ Jessica
